Description
Our client is seeking a proactive and adaptable Accounts Assistant to join their dynamic team. This standalone role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of our finance and administrative functions. The ideal candidate will be comfortable navigating a fast-paced environment and will play a key role in their transition from Navision to Xero accounting systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Process purchase and sales invoices accurately and efficiently.
Manage credit control activities to ensure timely payments.
Reconcile supplier statements and perform daily bank reconciliations.
Assist in the preparation of management accounts and financial reports.
Oversee general office administration tasks, including procurement of supplies and liaising with customers and suppliers.
Collaborate with external accountants and the Operations Manager to support financial operations.
Contribute to the development and implementation of improved financial processes during the system transition.
VAT - Assist with or prepare the VAT returns and I would say a good knowledge of excel.Profile
A successful Accounts Assistant should have:
Proven experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably within a standalone capacity.
Proficiency in Xero and familiarity with Navision is advantageous.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
