The Vacancy
MTC Training is an award-winning Independent Training Provider delivering high-quality engineering apprenticeships and upskilling courses.
The Curriculum Leader plays a vital role in achieving MTC Training's vision. You will implement a comprehensive curriculum for in-centre delivery and oversee the work-based development of apprentices in collaboration with employer partners.
Through inspiring leadership, you will manage Engineering Trainers and Apprenticeship Skills Coaches, monitoring and reporting on learner progress from start to EPA.
Key Activities:
1. Manage a team of Engineering Trainers and Apprenticeship Skills Coaches.
2. Monitor, track, and report on learner progress for individuals, groups, and cohorts.
3. Support the development of high-quality teaching materials aligned with Apprenticeship Duties, KSBs, and qualification outcomes.
4. Conduct Internal Quality Assurance in partnership with the Quality department to uphold high standards.
5. Coach and mentor new staff.
6. Demonstrate inclusive and participative behaviours, proactively seeking professional development opportunities.
7. Assist the Centre Head & Curriculum Manager in delivering an innovative and effective curriculum that meets learner and employer needs, aligned with national and regional agendas.
Provide Careers, Education, Information, Advice, and Guidance (CEIAG) throughout the apprenticeship journey to inform learners of their options.
Qualifications:
Essential
* A full teaching qualification and significant experience in education (F.E./H.E. or apprenticeships).
* A full assessor qualification (TAQA L3 or equivalent), with willingness to gain within 12 months.
Desirable
* IV qualification, TAQA L4 or equivalent.
* Engineering industry expertise (advantageous but not essential).
* Qualified to minimum Level 3 (Engineering expertise advantageous but not essential).
