Lettings Consultant
Salary: 27k with 33k OTE | Location: Newark | Contract: Permanent | Schedule: Monday to Friday 9:00–5:30
An exciting opportunity for a motivated lettings negotiator to join our client in Newark. The role involves ensuring successful lettings and playing a key part in the business, maintaining compliance, and providing excellent customer service to landlords and tenants.
Key Responsibilities
* Work collaboratively with the wider team to achieve successful lettings of their properties across the region
* Manage applications from start to finish, ensuring full compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
* Attend viewings and use excellent customer service to represent the company
* Maintain clear and professional communication with landlords and tenants to facilitate smooth tenancy setups and build strong relationships
* Ensure the property portfolio is well‑managed, with a particular focus on health and safety compliance
* Coordinate, organise, and oversee repairs and maintenance for managed properties in a timely and efficient manner
* Arrange and process property visits, check‑outs, and inventory reports, handling deposit disputes where required
* Provide general administrative support and contribute to the smooth day‑to‑day running of the office
* Follow company processes and maintain high professional standards
What we’re looking for
* Proven experience in lettings is desirable
* A genuine interest and motivation to progress within the lettings industry
* Strong knowledge of property compliance and safety regulations
* Excellent customer service and communication skills, acting as a first point of contact for landlords and tenants
* High level of attention to detail and strong organisational ability
* Strong administrative, presentation, numerical, and IT skills
