A warm and welcoming specialist school in Oxford is seeking a committed Mental Health Assistant to join their team starting September 2025.

The Role:
The children at this school have various learning difficulties, including some with ASD. They require a supportive and positive individual to facilitate a safe and engaging learning environment. The role involves supporting students 1:1 and in small groups, helping them to achieve their academic and personal goals, and encouraging independence.
You will also support the classroom teacher by helping to prepare lessons, manage classroom activities, and assist with outdoor activities such as PE and outdoor learning.
Candidate Requirements:
* Experience working with children in a classroom setting or with children facing learning difficulties.
* A positive attitude and a passion to make a difference.
* Ideal for psychology graduates interested in gaining experience working with children, aspiring educational psychologists, or ASD specialists.
* Background in art, music, or sports is welcome.
