Job Description
General Summary
The Electrical HTT Technician performs electrical heat treatment, which involves heating materials to extreme temperatures to achieve desired properties such as hardening or softening. This role involves working on various components within the refining, petrochemical, power, and construction industries, handling small to medium-sized electrical projects, and may include other heat treat methods.
Essential Job Functions
1. Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy environment by following company and customer safety standards, legal regulations, and alerting others to potential hazards.
2. Performs assigned duties in alignment with TEAM's Core Values and 7 Critical Choices.
3. Prepares materials for work orders, sets up machines, and positions workpieces for processing.
4. Assists with machine adjustments, removes scraps, and maintains raw material inventory.
5. Conducts job walks with certified technicians and communicates requirements effectively.
6. Interacts with clients and co-workers to ensure timely completion of jobs.
7. Instructs assistants on setup and teardown of equipment; performs routine and preventive maintenance, calibrations, and upkeep.
8. Completes documentation and reports of services provided.
9. Learns and adheres to heat treat procedures.
Job Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Previous experience in the relevant industry is preferred.
* Travel requirements range from 0% to 50%.
Work Conditions
* Indoor and outdoor work in plant environments, with exposure to climate changes.
* Interaction with crew members, supervisors, and clients.
* Work around production machinery in noisy environments; safety equipment is required.
* Potential for travel to multiple job sites in a day, including out-of-town trips.
Physical and Mental Requirements
* Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
* Ability to walk, climb, and maneuver within refinery or plant environments, including access to elevated platforms.
* Effective communication skills.
* Ability to focus, multitask, and perform duties safely with or without accommodations.
