As a Support Worker, you will assist Service Users in all aspects of daily living, including household tasks, meal preparation, budgeting, and engaging in activities. You may also accompany individuals to leisure activities or outings within the community. If you enjoy variety in your work and are driven by a passion to help others, this role is perfect for you.
Working in a supported living environment, you will collaborate with individuals to provide the support they need to live as independently as possible. Key Responsibilities:
* Provide Support: Assist individuals with daily activities such as cooking, cleaning, personal care, and shopping.
* Promote Independence: Help individuals with developing life skills, including managing finances, socializing, and decision-making.
* Personal Care: Support with hygiene, dressing, and medication management where required.
* Health & Wellbeing: Assist in maintaining health and wellbeing, including liaising with healthcare professionals when necessary.
* Support Plans: Maintain up-to-date records of the care provided, including care plans and progress reports.
* Safeguarding: Ensure a safe environment, reporting any concerns or issues in line with safeguarding procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience: Previous experience in a care or support role is essential.
* Personality: Empathetic, patient, and a good communicator, with a genuine desire to support others.
* Skills: Strong problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
* Qualifications: A relevant qualification such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care is desirable but not essential.
* Flexibility: Ability to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* Clear DBS Check: Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be required (this can be arranged).
