Overview
Homes2Inspire is a leading provider of children's residential care. This role is part of the Homes and Horizons project, a partnership between Somerset Council, CAMHS, the NHS, and Homes2Inspire. You will work within a multi-agency approach with residential staff, mental health professionals, and local authority teams, receiving specialist training and clinical support to make a positive impact on young people.
What does the role involve?
As a Children's Residential Support Worker, you'll be part of a team providing round-the-clock care for children aged 8-18. No two days will look the same, but every day will matter.
* A role model - showing young people through your actions what trust, respect, and healthy relationships look like.
* A supporter of daily life - helping with school routines, cooking, activities, and bedtime, creating a safe and structured environment.
* An encourager of growth - introducing hobbies, celebrating milestones, and nurturing new skills to build confidence and independence.
* A calm presence in tough moments - supporting children through big emotions and challenges with consistency and compassion.
* A memory maker - sharing the small, joyful moments that give young people a sense of belonging, from movie nights to days out.
You’ll also be involved in record-keeping, liaising with social workers and health professionals, and contributing to care plans that put the child at the heart of decision-making.
Requirements
* A full UK driving licence (essential).
* Flexibility to work 2 on / 4 off shift pattern, including long days and sleep-ins.
* The right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship not offered).
* A calm, consistent, and positive approach.
* A genuine passion for supporting young people to succeed.
