Job Opportunity: Experienced Chef
Our client has a small restaurant/bar near Buntingford, Hertfordshire, which has recently been refurbished. The restaurant serves freshly-prepared food with a menu built from mainly small plates with a feast of flavours from across the world, prepared fresh to order with the concept of sharing. Due to their continued growth, they are now recruiting an experienced Chef to join their successful team.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and cook food in accordance with recipes and quality standards
2. Assist with menu planning and development
3. Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets high-quality standards
4. Oversee food production and presentation
5. Manage inventory and order supplies as required
6. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to all H&S regulations
7. Train and supervise kitchen staff
Candidate Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Chef with knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary trends
* Confidence and proactivity, with a passion for food and drink
* Knowledge of kitchen sanitation, health, and safety regulations
* Work closely with management and be responsible for stock management
* Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
* Strong leadership skills and team management ability
Details:
Salary: £35k to £45k depending on experience
Hours: Full-time, 45 to 48 hours per week
