Responsibilities
* Delivering sport and physical activities to children and young people, both in school curriculum time following the PE National Curriculum and/or set programs of study and also deliver a range of OSHL (Out Of School Hours Learning) extracurricular activities before school, at lunch times, after school and in school holiday periods.
Skills and Experience
* Own transport and basic computer skills are required, reliable with strong time management skills.
* Applicants must also be self-motivated and have a passion for coaching and inspiring young people through engagement and participation in physical activity and sport.
Key information
* Full time hours
* Ability to travel to locations within Derby & Nottingham and surrounding areas
* Premier pathway to progress wages / hours / into project management, middle management and senior management
Requirements
* Experience in sports coaching (ideally with young people)
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Organised, reliable, and self-motivated
* A team player with a community-focused mindset
* Relevant coaching qualifications and/or safeguarding training (preferred but not essential)
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
* Recognised NGB Level 2 Coaching Certificate or equivalent or above
* Successful candidates will undergo constant in-house training and personal development and will be expected to attend additional external training to improve their understanding of their role and gain additional coaching qualifications.
