Cover Supervisors needed Secondary Schools across West Yorkshire Required from September 2026
We are currently seeking confident and adaptable Cover Supervisors to work on a day-to-day supply basis in secondary schools across West Yorkshire, starting from September 2026.This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy variety, flexibility, and supporting students’ learning in a classroom setting.
The RoleAs a day-to-day supply Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff.
Duties include:
1. Delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring students remain on task
2. Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
3. Providing a calm, positive, and productive learning environment
4. Supporting students with their work where appropriate
5. Adapting to different schools, subjects, and age groups (KS3 and KS4)
Work can range from single-day cover to short-term assignments, depending on school requirements and your availability.The Ideal Candidate
6. Experience working with young people in a secondary school or similar setting (desirable)
7. Confidence in managing classroom behaviour
8. Strongmunication and organisational skills
9. A flexible, professional, and reliable approach
10. An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
11. Degree-level education or relevant experience (preferred but not essential)
