About The Role
We are seeking a meticulous and fair-minded Casework Officer to join our Tenancy Management team. This role is pivotal in upholding the integrity of university-managed accommodation by investigating breaches of tenancy licence agreements and ensuring a safe, respectful living environment for all residents. The student experience is central to this role, and the successful candidate will balance enforcement with education and empathy.
You will also be expected to deputise for the Tenancy Enforcement Manager during interdepartmental meetings when required, representing Housing Services with professionalism and clarity. In addition to casework, the role includes administrative support across the wider Housing Services team, assisting with housing enquiries and reception duties—providing guidance to applicants, students, and residents via counter service, email, and telephone.
About You
The Housing team is looking for an individual who can demonstrate strong planning and organisational abilities, complemented by excellent interpersonal skills that enable quick rapport building. You will possess effective oral and written communication skills, supporting clear interactions with both colleagues and customers.
You will be capable of working independently or collaboratively within a small team, showing flexibility and initiative. Your problem-solving skills allow you to assess issues and make routine decisions autonomously. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, you will manage workloads efficiently and are also capable of dealing with confidential incidents, updating the Accommodations services manager in the process.
