The job itself
A support worker is required for a young adult male who is a wheelchair user and has cerebral palsy, meaning that his mobility and speech are impaired.
We are looking for someone who is able to accompany him for social events or to take him new places. We want him to be able to experience similar things to his peers and enjoy social events.
The successful applicant will be confident and personable, able to initiate conversation and provide supportive encouragement to help him come out of his shell.
Car driver is essential, all details can be discussed at the interview.
The role is for 4 hours per week.
£13.50 per hour if employed or £18.00 per hour if self employed.
