Due to the continuous growth and expansion of the M&E Design team, they are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join them.

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000K (depending on the experience)

The Role:
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-recognized design-and-build contractor in the North West region and become an integral part of the MEP Design team. This opportunity will put your name to some fantastic projects working on large-scale banking, retail, commercial, hotels and leisure projects.
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, the responsibilities and duties will include, although not be limited to:
* Design mechanical elements for a range of projects of various sizes, primarily for building services.
* Proving assistance and support to Graduate and Intermediate Design Engineers.
* Collaborate with operations and estimating departments by sharing expert knowledge and experience
* Building and managing Client relationships
* Apply innovative and modern industry-approved methods in order to create and develop all calculations and produce reports for clients' approval
* Design mechanical installations to meet requirements for energy efficiency and low carbon requirements.
* Managing the production of documentation, schedules, and drawings for projects as required through the RIBA work stages.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* A minimum of 5 years UK building services experience
* Previous experience working for Design and Build Contractors and liaising with clients
* Previous experience of developing designs throughout the RIBA Stages (Stage 2 to 8)
* An excellent ability to write own reports.
* Excellent presentation, communication skills and time management.
* Previous experience using Hevacomp, MEPWorx, AutoCAD softwares.
* Previous experience in the design of high-quality and complex mechanical building services.
* Good all-around project/management leadership skills and problem-solving techniques.
