Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual to become part of the Hepatology service at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
This position involves working within our established administration team as a Medical Secretary. The admin team work hard behind the scenes to ensure that patients have a positive experience when they contact the service, and we are seeking an individual who will further enhance this team.
Responsibilities
* Provide a comprehensive Medical Secretary and PA service to Consultants, including coordinating meetings, optimising Clinic time, and ensuring compliance with CCG requirements.
* Produce clinic letters and other documents, and deal with patient and GP queries and concerns in a sympathetic and constructive manner.
* Undertake a wide range of secretarial and administrative duties and provide administrative support to the multidisciplinary team.
* Process information (electronic and hard copy) in a timely manner; liaise with multidisciplinary team members and external agencies such as Primary Care and Community service providers in accordance with current policies.
* Demonstrate strong verbal communication, use of initiative, computer literacy, and an accurate, detail‑oriented approach, both independently and as part of a team.
Hours and Contract
The position is for 18.75 hours per week, working on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Due to Home Office immigration rules, a full‑time permanent vacancy cannot be filled by individuals on a Student visa. The Trust cannot offer sponsorship for this position. If you are a Student visa holder, options may include applying for a Graduate visa, completing your course and applying for a Graduate visa, or sponsoring you as a Skilled Worker only if you complete your studies within 3 months of the anticipated start date.
