Job summary
We are seeking a skilled, compassionate, and accredited Psychological Lead Therapist to join our Perinatal Mental Health Team. This is a unique opportunity to deliver evidence‑based psychological therapies, including parent‑infant interventions, while helping to shape service development and clinical practice. You will be provided with parent‑infant therapeutic intervention training.

Main responsibilities
* Deliver high‑quality psychological therapy, including parent‑infant interventions, across a range of settings including homes, clinics, and via telemedicine.
* Make autonomous clinical decisions and contribute to care planning.
* Provide consultation and support to colleagues across the team.
* Assist the Team Manager and Clinical Lead with operational duties and service development.
* Engage in training to deliver specialist therapies that support perinatal mental health and parent‑infant relationships.
* Promote a perinatal frame of mind in all aspects of care, enhancing the parent‑infant relationship.
Person specification
Qualifications – Essential
* Doctorate level training in clinical or applied psychology, including models of psychopathology, clinical, psychometrics, two or more distinct psychological therapies, and lifespan developmental psychology accredited by the BPS, or a BPS Statement of Equivalence.
* Specialist postgraduate training to masters level or equivalent in a psychotherapeutic modality AND experience of providing therapy in a mental health setting AND accreditation from a recognised Psychological Therapy body (e.g. BABCP, BACP, UKCP via professional route).
* Experience of providing therapy in a mental health setting.
Qualifications – Desirable
* Experience of providing dyadic therapy to parents and infants.
Experience – Essential
* Experience in relevant area of mental health practice.
* Application of minimum of 2 years delivering evidence‑based psychological therapies relevant to the clinical service.
* Clinical leadership experience.
Experience – Desirable
* Involvement in innovative clinical practice.
* Experience delivering psychological therapies to groups of patients.
* Experience of delivering psychological therapies to people with psychosis (CBTp/ FI).
Knowledge – Essential
* Evidence‑based psychological therapies relevant to the clinical service.
* Relevant specialist clinical courses/training.
* Research awareness and understanding of the importance of the parent‑infant relationship.
Knowledge – Desirable
* Involvement in clinical research programmes.
