Reporting directly to the Branch & Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the sale of Horticultural Machinery, both new and used, including its associated equipment. With a keen focus on golf, councils, and large estates, your role will be to visit customers and maximize sales opportunities for the department in a courteous and effective manner.
Essential Skills & Experience
1. Good, sound knowledge of the Horticultural industry and its equipment
2. Proven sales, service, or parts experience within this sector
3. Achieve Sales Performance targets as set out by the line manager
4. Represent the Dealership and portfolio of brands to customers within your sales area of responsibility
5. Maintain up-to-date product knowledge
6. Attend customer-focused events
7. Ensure products are delivered to customers in line with brand and company guidelines, providing a first-class customer experience
8. Build strong and loyal relationships with customers in your sales area
9. Provide excellent customer service both face-to-face and over the phone
10. Be target-driven with the ability to upsell to achieve and exceed targets
11. Be self-motivated and able to work independently
12. Possess influencing and persuading skills, with the ability to close deals
13. Demonstrate equipment where necessary
14. A full driving license is required
15. Be administratively organized
Additional Information
1. Start Date: Immediate, subject to candidate’s notice period
2. Hours: 42.5 hours per week – 8am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday (1-hour unpaid lunch); additional hours may be required, including weekends during peak periods such as harvest
3. Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience, plus commission and a company car
