They are seeking an experienced Project Manager with strong NEC contract knowledge to lead and manage their pre-construction and design team on a permanent basis. Responsibilities Lead and manage projects in the pre-construction / design phase, ensuring deliverables are aligned with contract requirements and client expectations. Act as Project Manager under NEC contracts, ensuring compliance with contract provisions, early warning processes, programme management, and change control. Coordinate internal and external design teams, consultants, and subcontractors to deliver technical solutions. Manage and monitor project programmes, cost forecasts, and risk registers, ensuring accurate reporting to the client and senior management. Oversee design development, reviews, and approvals in line with project scope, standards, and regulatory requirements. Establish and maintain effective stakeholder engagement with clients, designers, and supply chain partners. Proactively manage project risks, opportunities, and interfaces between design disciplines. Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards during the design phase. Lead project meetings, workshops, and progress reviews, capturing actions and ensuring follow-through. Prepare and support the transition of projects from design to construction, ensuring handover documentation is complete and robust. Skills & Qualifications required Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering projects under NEC contracts (ECC / PSC preferred). Strong knowledge of pre-construction and design management processes. Track record of managing design teams, consultants, and stakeholders on complex infrastructure or construction projects. Excellent understanding of NEC contract administration, including early warnings, risk management, compensation events, and programme management. Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and change. Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. Proficiency in project planning and reporting tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar). Professional qualification (APM, RICS, ICE, CIOB or equivalent) desirable. Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline preferred.
