At Remedy we are seeking a dedicated and passionate Autism Support Assistant to work at one of our leading Primary SEN Schools in Barking, East London. This new exciting Autism Support Assistant role will require you to support an Autistic year 3 child who is on a n Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP). Your duties should be met with great diligence and care.
The ideal Autism Support Assistant:
Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals. The Requirements for Autism Support Assistant:
Previous child-based experience: A proven track record of working with children in an educational or supportive capacity.
An understanding of basic SEND principalities
DBS on the update service: A valid Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check on the update service to ensure the safety and well-being of our students.Autism Support Assistant Benefits:
