Consultant Psychiatrist – General Adult CMHT, Ormskirk
Grade: NHS Medical & Dental: Consultant. Contract: Permanent. Hours: Full time – 10 sessions per week (10 PAs). Job reference: 351-MED015CW-26-A.
Site: Bickerstaffe House, Ormskirk District General Hospital, Ormskirk. Salary: £113,565 – £150,569 per annum.
Our organization provides a range of mental health services, including primary and secondary care for children and adults, specialist inpatient child and adolescent mental health provision, perinatal mental health, forensic services, specialist community support for learning disabilities and autism, and community physical health and wellbeing services.
We support flexible working patterns such as term‑time, part‑time, compressed hours, home/remote working, flexi‑time and career breaks.
Main duties of the job
You will lead a multidisciplinary team that includes nursing staff, operational managers, clinical psychologists, social workers, pharmacists and occupational therapists, delivering comprehensive care to patients referred to the team.
You will be expected to participate on the Consultant On‑Call rota, for which additional remuneration will be paid.
Qualifications and experience
* Full GMC registration and licence to practise.
* On the GMC Specialist Register or eligible to be added within 6 months of interview.
* Section 12 approval at commencement.
* Approved Clinician Status at commencement or eligible within 6 months of interview.
* Knowledge, skills and experience relevant to the post.
