What you'll be doing
* Lead the production team to ensure they are engaged and high performing.
* Manage performance of team members and identify those who have the interest and ability to progress.
* Manage grievance and disciplinary issues, with the support of HR.
* Ensure standards are set within the factory and continuously improve them.
* Manage the availability of labour against the production plan.
* Cover essential elements of the Production Manager and Team Leader role in the event of absence.
* Assist and manage the delivery of key projects that impact the value stream as part of a wider project team.
* Lead through the use of A3 Problem Solving/Fishbone analysis tools to identify the root cause of problems.
* Maximise output while meeting specified product quality standards.
* Conduct risk assessments on all processes and tasks.
What you can bring to the role
* Experience as a manager or supervisor within food manufacturing or a similar industry.
* Knowledge of lean processes and problem‑solving techniques.
* Resourceful and resilient in a fast‑moving environment.
* Strong communication skills at all levels.
* Ability to plan your day and prioritise tasks based on urgency.
* Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
