What's involved with this role: Job Title: Housing Solutions Officer Ref: K&C 5278472 Pay rate: £20.86 per hour PAYE Role length: Anticipated 3 months Working arrangements: Hybrid - minimum of 3 days per week and subject to the needs of the service DBS requirement: Basic DBS The role: We are seeking on behalf of our client, an experienced Housing Solutions Officers to provide effective face to face homelessness assessments and compliant decision making under the Homelessness Reduction Act including onward referrals to other housing options. You will be expected to manage a personal caseload and participate in a duty rota, ensuring timely support and guidance to those in housing need. In order to carry out this role, you must be knowledgeable and proficient in homelessness legislation and housing options, with excellent communication and record keeping skills. Key responsibilities: Carry out thorough homelessness assessments in line with relevant legislation and policy Make robust, legally compliant decisions under the Homelessness Reduction Act Identify and facilitate appropriate housing solutions, including referrals to alternative housing options Maintain clear, accurate and timely case notes and records What the client is looking for: Demonstrable experience in a similar Housing/Homelessness role In-depth working knowledge of the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 and related legislation Knowledge of Housing options Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centred approach Excellent record-keeping and organisational abilities How to Apply: Quote the Job Title and Reference Number in your application.
