🏫 Level 3 Teaching Assistant - Primary School (Rochdale)

We are currently looking for a skilled and resilient Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated primary school team in Rochdale. This full-time role will begin in September 2025 and continue through to July 2026, working closely with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small intervention groups.
The school provides a supportive but structured environment and caters to children with a range of behavioural needs, including some pupils who have had referrals to Pupil Referral Units (PRUs). The ideal candidate will have strong behaviour management skills and a nurturing, adaptable approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored 1:1 support to pupils with behavioural and emotional needs
Work with small groups to support academic and social progress
Help implement individual education and behaviour plans (IEPs/IBPs)
Support classroom teachers with lesson delivery and behaviour management
Foster positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff
Monitor progress and report back to teachers and SENCO
Essential Requirements:
Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
Previous experience working in UK primary schools
Strong behaviour management and de-escalation strategies
Comfortable working with children with SEMH needs and challenging behaviours
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Full-time availability from September 2025 to July 2026
Desirable:
Team Teach or other behaviour support training
Experience with PRU or nurture group settings
Knowledge of SEND frameworks and strategies
