Senior Telecommunications Consultant
Responsibilities:
* Sell a full suite of business telecoms and connectivity solutions, including FTTP, broadband, digital lines, VoIP/hosted telephony, leased lines, and mobile packages.
* Conduct detailed telecom audits, reviewing usage, infrastructure, billing, and identifying areas for improvement or cost savings.
* Build, manage, and convert your own pipeline from warm leads, referrals, and proactive outbound activity.
* Manage the full sales cycle – qualification, solution design, provider comparison, proposal creation, and closing.
* Guide clients through switching, onboarding, contract negotiations, and ongoing support.
* Stay ahead of the market by maintaining strong knowledge of connectivity technologies, tariffs, digital voice migration, and provider offerings.
* Keep CRM, compliance, and documentation accurate and up to date.
* Identify opportunities to cross‑sell utilities services such as energy and water where relevant.
Requirements:
* Proven experience selling telecoms and connectivity to UK small businesses (essential).
* Strong knowledge of the UK SME telecoms market, especially FTTP, connectivity, digital lines, VoIP/SIP, and hosted solutions.
* Good understanding of small business utility bills and experience helping customers reduce costs.
* Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to present clear, commercially focused solutions.
* A confident, professional telephone manner with exceptional rapport‑building ability.
* Ability to run telecom audits, interpret bills, analyse spend, and produce compelling proposals.
* A results‑driven attitude with a consistent track record of hitting and exceeding sales targets.
