This is a fixed-term contract for an initial period of 12 months, providing maternity cover within our People team. In this role you’ll: Play a key role in supporting employee engagement and team performance, working with managers to identify challenges and implement practical solutions Actively coach and support managers to build confidence and capability in handling people matters, improving both individual and team performance Provide expert advice and guidance to managers on employee relations matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence, and performance management Manage a varied ER caseload end-to-end, ensuring a fair, consistent, and legally compliant approach Work closely with People Partners and operational leaders to support day-to-day people activity across the business Support on M&A and TUPE activity, ensuring a smooth and compliant process and successful colleague integrations Ensure all ER cases are accurately documented and tracked, maintaining high standards of record keeping Proactively keep up to date with employment law and support the ongoing review of people policies and guidance Analyse people data and trends to identify risks and areas for improvement, escalating where appropriate Support onboarding activity by working with Talent Partners and managers to ensure new starters are set up for success Contribute to people projects and initiatives as required Collaborate with the wider People team to continuously improve the colleague experience What we’re looking for: Proven experience in a People Advisor or similar role, with strong employee relations experience Confidence managing ER cases independently in a fast-paced environment Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice Strong coaching and communication skills, with the ability to support and influence managers A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach with sound judgement Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities Why join us?
