The Role:

Blackpool and The Fylde College (B&FC) is currently seeking a dedicated and innovative Trainer – Engineering to join our Lancashire Energy HQ (LEHQ). This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality training, inspire the next generation of engineers, and support learners on their journey to success.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

As a Trainer in Engineering, you will play a key role in ensuring students and apprentices achieve their potential. Duties include:

* Delivering engaging and effective practical and theoretical training across apprenticeship and FE pathways.
* Designing and assessing high-quality training and learning materials, including online resources.
* Conducting progress reviews with students and employers, supporting achievement, progression, and timely outcomes.
* Providing constructive feedback, monitoring learner performance, and taking action to secure continuous improvement.
* Supporting recruitment activities such as interviews and open events.
* Promoting safe working practices and maintaining up-to-date professional knowledge.

What We're Looking For:

We value strong communication, organisational, and people skills, which you may have developed in a learner-facing role such as assessing, teaching, mentoring, support, administration, or library/resource services.
