We’re based in a quiet nook in Arbury on the north eastern side of Cambridge, three miles from the city centre. Our home offers 24-hour residential care and 36 en-suite bedrooms.
About the role:
Leading our Housekeeping team, the Head Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring the highest service standards of cleaning to provide a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our residents and visitors.
Salary:
£13.13 per hour.
Shift Pattern:
30 hours per week, worked on a rota basis from Monday to Sunday.
Home Location:
Fortescue Road, Cambridge, England, CB4 2JS – 3 miles from the city centre.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
* Manage overall responsibility for support services within the home for laundry and domestic housekeeping.
* Support the management team in the recruitment, induction and training of the support service team; ensuring training targets are met and team is competent in their roles.
* Manage rotas, budgets, stocks and reporting duties for the Housekeeping department within the home.
* Support, lead, manage and inspire direct reports to deliver outstanding service for the home.
Training, Skills & Experience Required:
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position, with proven experience successfully managing a team, budgets and targets.
* A passion for care – we’re looking for a genuinely caring individual who will put the needs of our residents first.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as high attention to detail.
