Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to young children, ensuring their safety, development, and well-being in a nurturing environment. Duties
* Provide attentive and responsive care to children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
* Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote learning through play.
* Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating nursery environment that encourages exploration and development.
* Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their achievements and communicating with parents about their development.
* Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive team environment that supports the nursery's goals.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and best practices in childcare.
* Support the management team in maintaining high standards of care and education within the nursery.
Skills
* Previous experience working with children in a childcare setting is essential; nursery experience is highly desirable.
* A solid understanding of early childhood education principles and practices.
* Excellent communication skills in English to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving with the ability to adapt to changing situations.
* Working knowledge of the current EYFS
* Coherent understanding of Safeguarding and behaviour management policies. Relevant training is desirable.
* You must hold a relevant Level 3 equivalent childcare qualification.
We will need a clean enhanced DBS and 3 relevant good references prior to commencement.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temporary, Zero hours contract
Contract length: 24 months
Pay: £12.21-£14.21 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
