We’ve got an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a store supervisor. Find your place as a leader at Starbucks and help us build the brand’s future. Here your voice is brewed into everything we do. Here you’ll take the lead of the shift, working with your team of baristas to create our Starbucks Experience for our customers with high-quality service, beverages, and products, whilst creating our third place environment.
We’re looking for candidates with previous coaching or supervisory experience in a customer-facing role. You’ll spend your time running shifts with our customers at the core, through coaching your team and creating a positive learning environment for your partners on shift. Experience in leading operational activities in retail or hospitality environments would be beneficial, as you’ll be responsible, alongside the store management team, to achieve results through making an impact, achieving goals, and creating our best moments through operational excellence. You’ll be an ambassador for our partner networks, ensuring our partners know they belong.
The best part about this role is that no two days are ever the same! Working in one of our fast-paced stores, a typical day could include:
1. Collaborating with the Store Manager, leading great shifts, supporting partners, and inspiring best moments and the Starbucks Experience for our partners and customers
2. Setting priorities by leveraging existing tools and resources to determine roles and delegate tasks, looking at ways to drive the profitability of your store
3. Inspiring and motivating the store team to make every moment right for our partners and customers, including pre-empting and adapting to potential issues and addressing/resolving any that arise to optimize the customer experience
4. Identifying teachable moments to share best practices with the team
5. Seeing challenges as opportunities for continuous improvement to drive operational excellence
6. Executing store operations during scheduled shifts, including organising opening and closing duties
7. Ensuring all partners follow Starbucks operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure safety during each shift
8. Providing quality beverages and food products consistently, adhering to all recipe and presentation standards, and following health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
Given the nature of our stores, working hours could include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays.
