Are you looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor role? Interested in working for a leading Construction Company? VANRATH is recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work within the Building Maintenance department for a large, leading Construction Company in Wolverhampton.

Overview:
Lead all commercial, financial, and contractual aspects of multiple projects. Focus on maximising profitability, legal and contractual compliance, and proactive management of commercial issues. Oversee applications and valuations, ensure prompt payments, and align activities with company policies. Play a key role in guiding commercial strategy and project delivery from a financial and contractual perspective.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Project Financial Management: Manage budgets, forecasts, financial reports, cost control, and cash collection. Provide strategic insights to maximise profitability.
2. Contract Administration: Lead contract preparation, negotiation, and finalisation. Ensure contractual obligations are met and legal risks are minimised.
3. Procurement and Tendering: Oversee procurement, prepare tender documents, evaluate bids, and select subcontractors and suppliers.
4. Cost Valuation and Reporting: Conduct valuations, manage payments, prepare final accounts, and oversee profitability reporting, identifying risks and opportunities.
5. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and contractual risks, safeguarding company interests.
The Ideal Person:
* Degree qualified or equivalent
* Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a proven track record in senior roles
* Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry practices
* Advanced knowledge of contract law, building regulations, health and safety
* Excellent commercial skills and experience with complex financial reporting
* Social Housing background or maintenance experience preferred
* Good IT skills
* Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
* Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure
