2. Our Procurement team is recruiting for a Procurement Category Manager on a full-time permanent basis.
Join us as a Procurement Category Manager and help shape the future of procurement across Volkswagen Group UK, Volkswagen Financial Services UK, and Volkswagen Group Ireland. We're not just buying goods and services - we're driving transformation. As part of our high-performing Procurement team, you'll lead strategic sourcing across multiple brands, unlock regional synergies, and deliver commercial excellence that powers innovation.
Our centralised Procurement team plays a pivotal role in driving commercial success across Volkswagen Group UK, Volkswagen Financial Services UK, Volkswagen Group Ireland, and our wider network of sister companies. Working across brands and functions, the team delivers quality and value through smart, strategic sourcing.
It's a fast-paced, collaborative environment where no two days are the same. You'll be joining at a time of exciting change, with the team actively partnering with stakeholders on a wide range of initiatives that are shaping the way we work and buy.
What you'll do:
* Lead with impact: Own and deliver category strategies that align with bold business ambitions.
* Collaborate across borders: Drive multi-entity sourcing projects across the UK and Ireland, working with iconic brands like Bentley, Porsche GB, MAN, and Scania.
* Shape supplier partnerships: From onboarding to performance management, you'll ensure our suppliers are aligned with our values and ambitions.
* Influence at the top: Engage senior stakeholders and guide cross-functional teams through strategic sourcing projects.
* Mentor and support team members, with potential for direct line management responsibilities depending on category.
Skills and experience you can bring to role:
* A track record of success in sourcing, ideally across indirect spend and multi-brand/multi-market environments.
* Proven ability to manage complex projects and lead cross-functional teams.
* Sharp commercial instincts, analytical prowess, and a strategic mindset.
* Excellent stakeholder management, with confidence in leading complex projects and influencing senior leaders.
* Fuelled by innovation, inspired by challenge, and focused on building supplier relationships that drive transformation.
* A strong negotiator and communicator, with experience in supplier performance management.
