Salary: £90 - £130 per day
Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Great Dunmow.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils who require additional support, helping them to access the curriculum, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with special educational needs, including Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and other learning difficulties
* Work alongside class teachers to adapt resources and learning activities to suit individual needs
* Assist with personal care and mobility where necessary
* Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
* Monitor and report on student progress to teaching and SEN staff
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Have previous experience working with children with SEN, either in a school or care setting
* Be patient, understanding, and able to build strong, supportive relationships with pupils
* Be confident working as part of a team and independently when required
* Have good communication skills and a proactive, flexible approach to support
* Hold relevant qualifications or be willing to undertake training
