We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Fundraising Apprentice to join our friendly team. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn all aspects of charity fundraising while working towards a nationally recognised Level 3 Fundraiser Apprenticeship.
Working in the Business Development Team, you will help to raise vital income and awareness for Lancashire Women. You’ll get involved in organising events, building relationships with supporters, and carrying out a variety of administrative and promotional tasks. You’ll develop your skills in communication, organisation and fundraising techniques, while making a real difference to the lives of women in our community.

Main Duties:
1.Role & Responsibilities:
Fundraising & Income Generation
Assist the Business Development Team in researching potential new fundraising opportunities.
Source donated goods or services (‘in-kind’ donations) to support Lancashire Women’s activities and reduce costs.
Support the planning, coordination and delivery of fundraising events.
Ensure processes and data quality are achieved for all projects and events e.g. ensuring Health & Safety protocols are followed.
Prepare documents, pitches and fundraising materials.
Suggest ideas to help Lancashire Women increase our presence, grow our brand awareness and raise more money, in line with our strategy.
Work closely with the Business Development Team to support in wider income generation activity as appropriate.
2)Supporter Engagement & Communication:
Contact supporters by phone, email and in person to thank them for donations.
Help collect and analyse information about current & potential donors, in order to understand what interests them and guide our fundraising activities.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of donations and supporter details, using the charity’s CRM system.
Respond to fundraising enquiries from all stakeholders, providing an excellent level of customer service.
Assist in presenting to community groups and business, acting as an ambassador for Lancashire Women at all times.
Help recruit and support fundraising volunteers, working in collaboration with our Volunteer Coordinators.
3)General Requirements:
Continually seek to advance own professional skills and the organisation as a whole, identifying opportunities and areas for improvement.
Act as Lancashire Women brand ambassador.
Use CRM systems to ensure efficient analysis and storage of information.
Adhere to and keep up to date with GDPR regulations, information security policies and procedures and relevant practitioner codes of conduct.
Ensure that standards of health and safety are maintained.
Work flexibly as and when required and to support other team members as needed.
Uphold the policies and ethos of Lancashire Women at all times.
Carry out such other duties as may be required in line with the nature of the post.

Qualifications:
1.1 GCSE Maths & English (Essential)
Experience:
2.1 Experience of volunteering or fundraising (paid or unpaid) for a charitable cause
(Desirable)
2.2 Experience of attending networking events to build and develop relationships (Desirable)
2.3 Experience of working in roles that included elements of administration and customer service (Desirable)
2.4 Experience of working with a database to enter and process information (Desirable)
Skills & Knowledge:
3.1 Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Essential)
3.2 Confident using Microsoft Office particularly Word, Excel and email (Essential)
3.3 Good organisational skills and attention to detail (Essential)
3.4 Ability to multi-task, prioritise workloads and work to deadlines (Essential)
3.5 Ability to work collaboratively with others to help achieve team and wider fundraising objectives (Essential)
3.6 Ability to work flexibly in a fast, dynamic environment (Essential)
3.7 Aptitude to understand governance rules within a charity such as the Code of Fundraising Practice / GDPR (Desirable)
3.8 An interest in women’s issues and equality (Desirable)
