The RoleWe are seeking a Healthcare Assistant to join our Ultrasound Department in Surrey. This role is vital in supporting sonographers and clinical staff, ensuring patients receive safe, efficient, and reassuring care throughout their diagnostic journey.Key ResponsibilitiesWelcome and prepare patients for ultrasound examinations.Provide reassurance and explain procedures clearly.Assist patients with mobility and comfort during scans.Support sonographers during ultrasound procedures.Prepare examination rooms and equipment.Maintain accurate patient documentation and manage patient flow.Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards.Work collaboratively with sonographers, radiologists, and administrative staff.Skills & CompetenciesStrong communication and interpersonal skills.Compassionate and patient‐focused approach.Ability to follow clinical protocols under supervision.Basic IT and record‐keeping skills.Commitment to confidentiality and safeguarding.RequirementsPrevious healthcare assistant or patient‐facing experience preferred.Training in patient handling and infection control desirable.Willingness to undertake further training in ultrasound support.What We OfferA supportive team environment.Opportunities for professional development.Competitive salary and benefits package.
