We are currently inviting applications for an exciting opportunity to join the Senior Timber Harvesting and Marketing Team within Scottish Woodlands:
Regional Harvesting & Marketing Manager
South East Scotland
As the leader of a high-performing team operating in a competitive, commercial environment, we seek an experienced, enthusiastic, and self-motivated individual with relevant harvesting and marketing experience to lead and manage our existing team in South East Scotland. This position is based out of our Melrose office in the Scottish Borders. Key duties include working closely with our clients, customers, markets, and developing new business opportunities.
Applicants should have
1. An in-depth and extensive understanding of timber harvesting and marketing, including standing sale assessments, site planning, and harvesting systems.
2. Proven experience in leading and developing a timber harvesting management team and contractors across a wide area.
3. Operational and management experience; forestry qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
4. Excellent professional acumen, commercial awareness, IT literacy, and strong communication and organizational skills.
5. Experience working with contractors, project management, and health & safety management.
6. Desirable: Professional membership of the Institute of Chartered Foresters or another relevant professional body.
7. A current driving license.
