We are looking for an experienced Civils Foreman to join our team, leading the safe and efficient delivery of civils works on site. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you’ll be responsible for managing site operations, ensuring work is completed to programme, specification, and client expectations.
You’ll play a key part in maintaining high standards across health & safety, quality, and productivity, while supporting and developing site teams.
The Role:
* Supervise site activities across excavation, drainage, and reinstatement, ensuring work meets programme and specifications
* Lead teams and subcontractors, coordinating labour, plant, and materials effectively
* Maintain health & safety compliance, delivering briefings, managing permits, and controlling risks
* Ensure quality standards, carrying out checks and maintaining QA records
* Manage site resources and deliveries to maximise productivity and minimise delays
* Report progress and issues, acting as key link between site, Project Manager, and stakeholders
What you’ll need:
* Proven experience as a Civils Foreman or similar leadership role
* Strong knowledge of drainage, excavation, and reinstatement works
* Sound understanding of health & safety regulations (NRSWA, HSG47, CDM)
* Ability to read drawings and set out works
* Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
* SSSTS or SMSTS
* CSCS Gold Card (or equivalent)
* First Aid at Work
* Temporary Works Supervisor
* Confined Space (desirable)
