As the largest provider of 16–19 study programmes in the West Midlands, the Sandwell family of colleges spans four campuses – Central Campus, Central St Michael’s, Cadbury College, and the new specialist Science and Engineering Centre in West Bromwich. Each campus provides a high‑quality, inclusive, and aspirational learning environment that supports the College’s mission to deliver outstanding education and training. This mission focuses on enhancing life chances and strengthening economic prosperity for learners, communities, and employers.
The Assistant Director of Estates (Engineering) will play a central leadership role, providing strategic direction, and operational oversight across all mechanical, electrical and building services functions within a complex multi campus estate. A key part of the role will be leading the College’s energy and carbon agenda, including utilities monitoring, performance analysis and delivery of the Carbon Management Plan, supporting the organisation’s journey towards Net Zero. The postholder will also oversee the delivery of minor engineering projects and provide technical assurance for major capital developments.
