Operations Analyst – Student Placement £99.10 per day Morson currently have an opportunity to join Thales Belfast on a student placement for the 2026/2027 academic year within the Cybersecurity business area. Working within the customer engagement team, this is a unique opportunity to join a multinational defence organisation and build up a skillset in data visualisation. You will be joining a consistent annual pathway open to one or two candidates a year. We're looking for university students (or recent graduates) that have used Data Visualisation techniques during their studies, have strong mathematical skills and used Power BI or similar. Of particular interest are students enrolled on Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics or Computer Engineering degrees. The role is being offered on a 12-month contract basis, running from August 2026 – August 2027. It will require 3 days a week onsite and a 37-hour workweek. It will be paying a rate of £99.10 per day Umbrella Inside IR35. Responsibilities Work with customer success managers to collect and understand datasets. Filter Data to ensure it's validity. Create Dashboards using PowerBI and Planhat. Create Visualisation from datasets. Communicate with customers using verbal and electronic communications. Drives the improvement of sales capabilities and performance of the accounts. Ensure customer data integrity. Assigns order intake targets to accounts and sales resources. Supports the Sales & Operations planning process (workload capacity). Requirements Experience of Data Visualisation within a degree such as Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics or Computer Engineering. Business/data analytics experience. Operations planning exposure. Advanced knowledge of Excel, CRM tools, Power BI or Planhat. Fluent in English and able to communicate in commercial language both in written and verbal form. Able to identify Business issues and mitigate. Experience as Sales manager, finance and controlling or quality management, Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will be BPSS cleared or eligible for this level of clearance
