Defendant Claims Handler - Post Litigation
Location: Bradford, Hybrid
Salary: Up to £45,000 + Bonus & Excellent Benefits
IPS Group is working with a respected legal firm seeking an experienced Defendant Claims Handler to join their established team in Bradford.
The Role/Team:
You will manage a varied caseload of Defendant EL/PL cases, mainly fast-track with some low-value matters. Responsibilities include handling files from instruction through to settlement, assessing liability as well as building a strong defence. Youll be part of a team of 18 professionals, including 6 litigators and claims handlers who assist with pre-litigation work. You will have the chance to contribute to team success, get involved in projects, and support junior colleagues ensuring clients receive high-quality service.
Required Skills/Experience:
We are looking for a confident and experienced Defendant PI Litigator or Senior EL/PL Claims Handler with at least 5 years experience in an EL/PL claims role. Experience with retail claims is advantageous, along with the ability to hit the ground running in a busy, fast-paced team.
Candidates from either a legal or insurer background will be considered. Defendant-side experience is preferred, though those from a claimant background with strong technical knowledge and understanding of defendant processes are also encouraged to apply.
