Exciting Opportunity: Education – Payroll Manager
Our client, a well know educational body based in Harrow is actively recruiting for a Payroll Manager on either 12-month fixed term contract or a 12-month interim role.
The position is due to start subject to notice on a full-time basis, Monday to Friday. They are offering up to £60,000 per annum for the FTC or a competitive hourly / day rate for the temporary role.
Please note the successful candidate will have experience working within the education sector – please note they are not accepting applications with a higher education background
Duties will include – but are not limited to:
1. Lead end-to-end UK payroll operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery, including reviewing and verifying payroll data and ensuring accuracy of employee payroll information
2. Manage the relationship with our payroll provider, to ensure seamless service
3. Act as the first point of contact with the external payroll provider and liaise with 3rd party payroll/pension providers
4. Handle internal and external payroll queries with efficiency and professionalism
5. Ensure all salaries, benefits, and pensions are correctly reported, paid, and allocated to the right cost centres
6. Review internal payroll processes and look for continuous improvement opportunities and support the documentation of end-to-end payroll related processes
7. Review Payroll data requirements and reporting requirements for internal reporting and external payroll reporting and implement new reporting where required
8. Partner with Finance and other stakeholders on payroll communication, reconciliation activities and other activities as required to ensure the Trust can meet the obligations set out in our financial controls
Experience required:
9. Experience working within the Education sector
10. Have experience running the end-to-end payroll
11. Ideally will have experience with staff management
Working hours:
12. 37.5 hours per week
13. Monday – Friday: (9:00am – 5:30pm)
14. Hybrid working – 1 day on site per week
