Class 1 bulk powder tanker driver collecting and delivering powder products for the construction industry. Ensuring that deliveries are on time and that health and safety procedures are followed to a high standard.
Wincanton operate on behalf of Breedon Cement to provide transport for both bulk powder and palletised deliveries. The contract has a nationwide delivery area with key distribution points at Port of Blyth, Hope Valley, Runcorn, Walsall and Dagenham.
The role of the tanker driver requires the loading and pressurised discharge of powder products – predominantly cement.
1. £44,978 per annum (based on 48 hours per week)
2. £18.02 per hour
3. £26.20 for a night out
4. Monday - Friday
5. Saturday paid at time and a half
6. Sunday paid at double time
7. Minimum 48 hour per week contract
8. Full bulk tanker training provided
9. Paid holiday entitlement – 25 days plus 8 bank holidays

How will you contribute?
17. You will be responsible for the accurate and timely movement and delivery of our customers’ products, servicing the Construction sector.
18. Ensuring all documentation is completed accurately with attention to detail.
19. Adhering to safe working practices to ensure the safety of yourself and others at all times.
20. Complying with all relevant legislation in line with Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive requirements (opt out available).
21. Responsible for the Health and Safety of themselves and others, completion of dynamic risk assessments, adhering to safe working practices and the Health & Safety at Work Act, including accident, incident and damage reporting.
22. To ensure contractual KPI’s over delivery of product is undertaken in both a legally compliant and health and safety manner.
23. Attending any relevant training as required to ensure you remain fully equipped to perform your role effectively and to assist in the development of continuous improvement.
24. Keep the vehicle you use clean, tidy and well cared for, so it is ready to be used the next day.
What will you bring?
25. Must hold a valid HGV LGV Class 1 licence
26. Must hold a valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC Card)
27. Must hold a Digital Tachograph card
28. 12 months Class 1 driving experience preferable
29. Must be available to do 2 nights out per week if required
30. Must be fully flexible on working hours
31. Possess excellent customer facing awareness
