Field Service & Calibration Engineer (Commissioning) Salary: £45,000 – £60,000 + Benefits

Are you an experienced Field Service Engineer or Calibration Specialist looking for a varied, hands-on role with international travel and technical challenge?
We're seeking a skilled engineer to join a world-leading manufacturer of hydraulic test and motion simulation systems, supporting customers across the UK and Europe.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in mechanical, electrical or electro-hydraulic systems, who enjoys solving complex problems and working directly with customers on site.
What You'll Do Perform calibration, testing, and certification to ensure performance compliance.
Provide on-site service and commissioning for customer installations across the UK and Europe.
Diagnose and repair faults, carry out maintenance, and install replacement parts.
Support project teams during installations and act as the technical lead on customer sites.
Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and technical documentation.
Maintain strong customer relationships and deliver projects to a high standard and on time.
Ensure all calibration tools and equipment are properly maintained and compliant.
What You'll Need Minimum 3 years' experience in field service, calibration, or commissioning.
Background in mechanical, electrical, or mechatronic engineering .
HND/Degree in Engineering (or equivalent).
Experience using diagnostic and calibration tools .
Strong understanding of Health & Safety in on-site environments.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documents .
Good IT skills – MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
Willingness to travel across the UK and occasionally abroad (approx. 10%).
