The job itself
Rate of Pay: £13.50 employed workers / £18.00 per hour self employed workers.
About the recipient
The individual is a young adult female and resides in Bridlington. They require a dedicated and suitable person to support them due to having aspergers syndrome, ADHD, anxiety depressive disorder, Bechet's disease.
The role is for 8 hours per week on a flexible weekly rota.
About the role
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
1. Assisting the individual with accessing activities and spending time out in the community.
2. Social support and companionship.
3. Attending/transporting the individual to social activities and appointments.
4. Encouraging social interaction and inclusion and providing emotional support.
About the candidate
The suitable candidate must:
5. Be motivated, proactive and able to work on their own initiative.
6. Be patient, caring and understanding.
7. Have good communication skills (clear and effective communication).
8. Be able to build a positive relationship with the individual to both encourage and support them.
9. Must have use of own car, to transport individual to social activities and appointments.
DBS/Reference checks will be required for this post - Cost to be met by the local authority.
