Position Purpose
The Senior manager, International plays a critical role in delivering an industry-leading contracting capability across international markets (EMEA, APAC, and Canada).
Supporting contract review, issue identification, redlining, negotiation, and escalation management in collaboration with the Contract Legal Support Team (CLS), International Legal, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
Lead training efforts for new and existing ECF team members, ensuring consistency and excellence in contract execution.

Key Responsibilities
13. Lead and support the training and development of international Contract Facilitators.
14. Collaborate with the ECF International Director to drive team performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
15. Manage multiple complex contract projects across international markets.
16. Resolve complex negotiation issues and drive deals to execution.
17. Ensure compliance with legal standards, BMS SOPs, and escalation protocols.
18. Act as the final escalation point for contract-related queries in the Director’s absence.
19. Facilitate highly complex international contracts, including drafting, redlining, and negotiation.
20. Communicate contractual terms and risks clearly to internal stakeholders.
21. Develop and maintain training materials focused on negotiation and SOPs.
22. Collaborate with CLS and International Legal to keep templates and playbooks current.
23. Analyze and report on SLAs, KPIs, and performance metrics to support strategic planning.
24. Recommend and implement process improvements, automation, and standardization.
25. Foster a stakeholder-focused culture and build strong relationships across functions.
Qualifications
26. Formal legal education (LLB, paralegal certification, etc.) is mandatory.
Knowledge & Experience
27. Proven experience in contract redlining and negotiation.
28. Leadership experience in legal or contracting roles within Pharma/Biotech/CRO.
29. Expertise in international contracting, including regional nuances (EMEA/APAC/Canada)
30. Excellent understanding of pharma contracting compliance and policies.
31. Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools; familiarity with Icertis, preferred.
32. Demonstrated ability to manage intake, template selection, drafting, negotiation, and execution.
33. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
34. High adaptability in complex, fast-paced environments.
35. Multilingual proficiency preferred (Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, French, Mandarin, or German).
