Engineering Planner / Asset Care Maintenance Planner Contract | Outside IR35 Location: Ealing Rate: £200-£350 per day (Outside IR35) Duration: Initial 3-month contract Working Pattern: Monday-Friday A market-leading manufacturer is seeking an experienced Engineering Planner / Asset Care Maintenance Planner to support site engineering operations with a strong focus on asset reliability, lifecycle management, and proactive maintenance. Working closely with the Site Engineering Manager and Engineering Team Leaders, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating all maintenance activities to ensure the ongoing performance, availability, and condition of site assets. Key Responsibilities (Asset Care Focus) ·Own and coordinate the asset care maintenance plan, ensuring effective delivery of PPMs and planned work ·Lead maintenance shutdown planning, aligning asset care strategies with site priorities ·Develop, control, and maintain the engineering shift plan, covering all engineering disciplines and contract labour ·Chair weekly asset care and maintenance scheduling meetings ·Manage and prioritise the maintenance backlog, ensuring work supports asset reliability and risk reduction ·Work closely with Engineering and Operations to plan maintenance activities that improve asset performance and reduce unplanned downtime ·Ensure maintenance activities are planned, executed, and costed efficiently in line with asset care objectives ·Coordinate equipment removed from service for in-house repair, ensuring visibility, tracking, and timely return to operation ·Support continuous improvement initiatives related to asset reliability, maintenance effectiveness, and best practice Experience & Skills Required ·Strong background in asset care, maintenance planning, and reliability-focused maintenance ·Proven experience using CMMS systems for asset management and maintenance planning ·SHIRE CMMS experience - essential ·Highly organised with the ability to plan resources, labour, and materials effectively ·Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial asset-intensive environment
