Harvey Nash is now inviting candidates to apply for the role of Financial Controller, a six month fixed term contract. This is a key hire for our public sector client, you’ll be responsible for designing and developing our clients financial strategies, policies and processes in a greenfield environment.
* Hybrid working in Aberdeen – up to 3 days a week
* Public sector organisation
Essential Criteria
* Fully Qualified with CCAB, CIMA or equivalent.
* Evidence of strong technical knowledge of financial accounting standards, particularly in relation to Financial Instruments (IFRS 9)
* Experience of delivering an excellent finance service, particularly the collation and presentation of financial year-end accounts and information to auditors in an organisation that comes under public scrutiny.
* Preparing of accounting papers and providing detailed technical accounting advice
* Evidence of knowledge of UK tax requirements
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
* Agile approach to work, using own initiative to proactively identify improvements and follow up actions
