About The Role
We are seeking a Graduate or an early careers professional with an interest in Collision Investigation to join our Forensic Investigations team.
You will learn everything from incoming enquiries through to full collision investigation with the opportunity to become a qualified Collision Investigator.
This role will be remote, with the expectation to travel throughout the UK as required.
Key Responsibilities
Be an enthusiastic, authentic ambassador for the Forensic Investigations Team and the wider TRL business.
Uphold the values of TRL working collaboratively with partners and colleagues.
Coordinate and allocate new cases within the team, ensuring timely and efficient workflows.
Engage with clients to understand their needs and offer insights on best practices for investigation approaches.
Cultivate and strengthen relationships with clients across the industry, developing trust and building TRL's reputation as an industry leader.
Uphold high ethical standards in all aspects of work, managing sensitive information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
Assist investigators by liaising with police departments, clients, and other stakeholders, arranging and attending inspections, and contributing to analysis as required.
Ensure that all health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
Assist with vehicle examinations and participate in site visits to collect critical data for collision investigations, documenting findings meticulously.
Enrol in and complete the UCPD in forensic road collision investigation course, building foundational knowledge and technical expertise.
Skills & Experience
Qualification to degree level (or equivalent) in related subjects such as Forensic Science, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Biomechanics, Physics or Maths. Other subjects will be considered.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating complex technical details into clear, concise explanations for various audiences.
Competent in the use of Microsoft Office.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent time management skills, ability to organise and prioritise workload to meet demands.
The ability to demonstrate commitment, attention to detail, and initiative in delivering high-quality work.
Willingness to work across the UK, with potential out-of-hours availability based on case requirements.
Possession of a full UK driving license.
