We are seeking an IT Engineer to join our IT team, serving as the main engineer responsible for our London office. The ideal candidate should possess excellent technical skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
* Provide first-level technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network issues.
* Diagnose and resolve IT-related problems through remote or in-person communication.
* Collaborate with IT team to escalate complex issues and ensure timely resolution.
* Install, configure, and maintain new technology.
* Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to network connectivity and server functionalities.
* Create and update documentation for troubleshooting procedures and solutions.
* Conduct user training sessions to enhance overall IT literacy.
Experience required working as an IT Engineer within a multi-channel business or multi-discipline general practice.
Experience / Qualifications
Previous experience of the following systems desired but not essential:
* Server Virtualisation and Hyper Converged Infrastructure – Hyper-V/Nutanix
* VM Backups and Replication - Veeam
* VLAN's, routing and switching – HP/Cisco
* Active Directory – On-Prem and Azure AD
* Firewalls and VPNs – Cato Networks/Sophos
* Email Security - Mimecast
* Desktop monitoring systems
Other requirements
* Good verbal, written, communication and presentation skills
* Ideally lives within reasonable travel distance from Slough site
* Need flexibility working out of hours where required
* Ability to work individually and as part of a team
* Central London working location
* Client referral commission (6% of fees in first 2 years)
