The Curriculum Support Specialist Role:
As the Curriculum Support Specialist, you will support the administrative requirements of the academic areas that are not fulfilled by central functions.
We act as a central point of administration support for staff and students regarding full-time or part-time FE courses.
Key Responsibilities of the Curriculum Support Specialist:
* First point of contact for all students and staff in the administration office.
* Acting as point of contact on behalf of Directors and Learning Managers of Curriculum, including taking telephone calls, dealing with messages, and progressing matters for management attention.
* Co-ordinating and organising curriculum area events and appointments, e.g., parents’ evenings, awards evenings, and events, interviews, visits, and room bookings.
* Providing administrative support for academic staff, e.g., taking messages, liaising with staff and parents to arrange meetings, writing letters to students/parents, photocopying and general administration duties.
* Building and maintaining links and knowledge with curriculum teams, providing support in the areas as required including minute-taking at meetings, and attending training and events as necessary.
* Assisting with the day-to-day running of curriculum areas e.g., communicating timetable changes, reporting and recording staff and student absence/lateness, ordering stationary, certificate administration, filing, generating and handling correspondence, and data input.
* Providing high levels of customer service
About You:
* GCSE Grade 4 or above, or the equivalent Level 2 in English & Maths
* Proven experience in an administrative or customer service role.
* Roles within an office environment
* Competent in Microsoft Office applications
* The ability to facilitate communication effectively, ensuring enquiries are answered, redirected, or actioned efficiently.
