Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our educational team. The successful candidate will work closely with Foundation Phase children to provide personalised support that fosters their academic and social development. Responsibilities
* Support children during classroom activities, ensuring they are engaged and included in learning tasks.
* Provide one-on-one assistance to children requiring additional help.
* Foster a safe, caring, and inclusive environment that promotes positive behaviour and social interaction.
* Implement behaviour management strategies under the guidance of teaching staff.
* Support children with daily routines, including organising activities that enhance communication skills and social development.
* Observe and record children's progress, sharing insights with teaching staff to inform personalised learning plans.
* Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure consistent support tailored to individual needs.
Experience
* Suitable Qualifications in education and childcare
* Previous experience working with children in educational or care settings is highly desirable.
* Knowledge and experience of practices and strategies for supporting children's individual needs.
* Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.

* Flexibility for addition hours to support in Before and After School Clubs.
* Qualification and confidence in driving a 'minibus lite' to support with transport for school trips locally.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £15.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 35 per week
