You will be working in the HS2 Main Works, the SCS Joint Venture with Costain and Strabag, our HS2 Main Works South team is delivering one of the UK’s most ambitious infrastructure projects – 26 miles of tunnels from London Euston to West Ruislip, along with viaducts, bridges and embankments that will connect communities for generations.
We are currently looking for a MEP Senior Quantity Surveyor who will:
As the MEP Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will:
1. Ongoing liaison with site team, subcontractors and Employers’ representatives
2. Inputting to the efficient and effective management and issuing of accurate, timely and compliant notices and correspondence
3. Cost control and forecasting. Prepare and provide input to monthly reports: value, cost, profit/loss, cash flow and budget
4. Preparation and agreement of applications for payment or the assessment & preparation of payment certificates
5. Assisting with Risk and Value Management to optimise solution. Monitor and regularly review with the project team. Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks
6. Contract Management, including all relevant contractual forms, methods of budgetary control and relevant software applications
7. Prepare supply chain enquiries, negotiate, administer and finalise / close out supply chain contracts
8. Ensure all notifications/documents are managed in accordance with the contract, and customer / company policy

9. Demonstrable financial and commercial acumen
10. Practical approach, logical thought process and a methodical way of working
11. A creative and innovative approach to problem-solving
12. Experience of contributing to procurement and contract strategies
13. Negotiating and team-working skills and the ability to motivate and lead
14. Confidence and ability to assert influence
15. Hold an RICS/CICES accredited Degree (or equivalent) or enrolled on an accredited part-time post-graduate Degree
